Actual language of all proposed ballot questions in Nevada for 2024.
Suggested voting for each question:
Question 1 : VOTE NO This removes the public election of the University of Nevada Board of Regents. Authorizes your State Legislature to control the Board. This was attempted and defeated by voters in 2020.
Question 2: VOTE YES this updates and modernizes the wording in the state constitution related to mentally ill and physically, impaired or disabled persons.
Question 3: VOTE NO Ranked Choice Voting (or RCV) is BAD for Nevada! It is being pitched as an “open/jungle primary.” As bad as that is, it’s actually so much worse. It’s a way to confuse and distort election results to go to the highest “vote getter” after several rounds of elimination. You can watch this short educational video on the subject, and we encourage you to share it, just click here.
Question 4:Â VOTE YES Â this ballot question removes involuntary servitude and the use of slavery as criminal punishments in the state constitution.
Question 5: Â VOTE YESÂ provides the sales tax exemption for both child and adult diapers, including disposables.
Question 6: VOTE NO ABORTION is already codified BY LAW in Nevada up to 24 weeks, that’s six months, for any reason or no reason at all. This is past the point of viability, and is already among the most liberal abortion laws in the nation. This is an attempt by Democrats in Nevada to extend abortion through all nine months, and to eliminate the requirement that a licensed doctor performs the abortion. Worse, it would also allow for minors to seek an abortion without parental consent or notification.
Question 7: VOTE YESÂ VOTER ID! Vote, yes to demand Voter ID Â be it by driver’s license or the last four of a social security number to be a legal voter.
