Meet at the Valley Christian Fellowship, 1681 Lucerne St., Minden, Nevada, every first Wednesday. Doors open at 11:00am with a $15 fee. Reservation required by contacting Elinor at (415)985-5432 no less than 5 days prior to the meeting date.
On June 7th the speaker at the Douglas County Republican Women meeting will be Shawn Meehan, Founder of “Guard the Constitution”. Shawn will be speaking about the Constitutional Convention.
Shawn has been interviewed by national talk radio hosts Lars Larson; Retired Army Colonel Denny Gillem and his national “Frontlines of Freedom” show; Kevin Miller of KIDO in Boise, Idaho; Tamara Scott, KTIA Des Moines, Iowa, and was a recurring guest on Monica Jaye’s show on 99.1 FM.
Thomas Mund from the John Birch Society said this about Shawn. “I know Shawn Meehan lives down there and would have enjoyed speaking to your group. If you did get him, you got the best.”
**Please note** The Nevada Republican Party, in our current Platform, does not support an Article V convention.
Constitution (Plank)
We support the Constitution of the United States in its original intent and context. We expect our elected officials, appointed officials, and the courts at all levels to support, interpret, and give effect to the Constitution, as prescribed in Article VI. Without further clarification of the rules and process, we do not support an Article V convention.
