RNC Statement on the anniversary of Juneteenth

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the anniversary of Juneteenth:

“Today, we commemorate the anniversary of Juneteenth, a momentous day in our nation’s history marking the end of slavery. As we honor 400 years of African American history, may we reflect on the resilience and cultural contributions of the African American community. In reflecting on the wrongs of our nation’s past, we are reminded of the importance of equal opportunity for all. President Trump and Republicans continue to fight for equal opportunity for all with policies such as historic criminal justice reform, unprecedented support for HBCUs and near record low unemployment, and we remain committed to working toward a brighter future for all Americans.”
