LAS VEGAS – See the following statement from Chairman Michael J. McDonald demanding Governor Sisolak answer Governor Abbott & Ducey’s request for aid at the border:
“It has been nearly a month since Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey requested help securing the border from Governor Sisolak and governors across the country. Unfortunately, Governor Sisolak has not assisted, and like the Biden Administration, he has ignored that there is even a crisis at our border despite the fact that law enforcement is arresting nearly 6,000 illegal immigrants a day — the highest number in two decades. Border states are being inundated and need our help to protect not only their citizens from the dangers of illegal immigration and drug trafficking, but Nevadans and others all over the United States as well. We call on Governor Sisolak to step up and help our neighbor state of Arizona and Texas to secure our border.”
