JOHN VANEK, M.A. is a nationally recognized expert on the response to human trafficking. Mr. Vanek helped create one of the first federally funded Human Trafficking Task Forces in 2006. John consults for federal, state and private organizations, and is the author of “The Essential Abolitionist: What you need to know about human trafficking and modern slavery.”

DAVE MENCARELLI has made a living talking into a microphone for over 20 years. He is a professional comedian, a veteran Northern Nevada radio host, and the general manager at the Laugh Factory Comedy Club located inside the Silver Legacy in Reno.

Our annual Lincoln-Reagan dinners are a tradition celebrated by Republican committees across the United States to celebrate our victories and raise funds to continue improving conservative results in elections and legislation.
In Douglas County, our Republican Party celebrates our 2023 Lincoln-Reagan Dinner as one of our important annual fundraising events. We have no paid staff. All work is done by our volunteer members. Funds raised pay for our headquarters building and monthly meeting venue rents, utilities, office supplies and donations to worthy candidates.
This past November 2022 election, Douglas Republicans focused hard on getting three of our three school board candidates elected, one being elected President of the Douglas County School Board. Your past support, donations, and attendance at these dinners, and all you do to help our Douglas Republicans, made this important victory for our children possible.
