The Nevada Republican Party stands with the Las Vegas Police Protective Association and all local law enforcement in opposing this policy. We will continue to advocate for the rights and safety of our police officers, ensuring they can perform their duties without unnecessary risk or privacy invasion. This policy represents an alarming intrusion into the privacy of our dedicated law enforcement officers and could expose them to unnecessary risks.

Our officers, who work tirelessly to ensure public safety and security at these events, should not be subjected to intrusive biometric data collection. This policy raises serious concerns about the potential misuse and unauthorized access to sensitive personal information. The idea that private biometric data of our officers could be handled by entities beyond their immediate control opens the door to potential privacy breaches and security threats.

The policy’s implementation could also inadvertently put our officers at risk by making their identities more accessible to those who wish to do them harm.

We urge the NFL to reconsider this policy and work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies to find a more secure and privacy-conscious solution that respects the rights of those who protect and serve our communities. The safety of our officers and the protection of their personal data must be a priority.
