Urgent Action Alert NVLeg- Support AB 127

Show Support for AB 127
Currently, Peace Officers can obtain a court order to require the County Assessor to maintain confidential information protecting the information of peace officers. This bill creates uniformity, allowing peace officers to obtain court orders to protect confidential information in the County Recorders office as well.
General Summary of the bill – Existing law authorizes certain persons, including certain peace officers and retired peace officers, to obtain a court order to require a county assessor to maintain the personal information of the person contained in the records of the county assessor in a confidential manner. (NRS 250.130, 250.140) Existing law also authorizes certain persons to obtain a court order to require a county recorder to maintain the personal information of the person contained in the records of the county recorder in a confidential manner. (NRS 247.530, 247.540) This bill expands the list of persons authorized to obtain a court order requiring such personal information to be maintained by a county recorder in a confidential manner to include certain peace officers and retired peace officers.
Democrat legislators will not give AB 127 the time of day because they believe it to be too controversial relating to Law Enforcement Officers. ANTIFA is publicly on notice in opposition of this bill. That’s why we need grassroots support to call in favor and support AB 127 sponsor Assemblywoman Jill Dickman.
Call and email legislators telling them “it’s time that we make sure we are protecting Nevadans that protect us every day! AB 127 protects not only police officers, but their family as well from bad intentions on the part of bad actors. Support AB 127 and pass this bill!”
