Douglas County has 41 precincts. All persons registered in the party and residing in the precinct are entitled and welcome to attend the precinct meeting. Photo I.D. required. Delegates to your party’s county convention will be elected at the meeting by those in attendance. Policy planks for the county platform will be recorded. Set forth below are the tentative time and place at which your precinct meeting will be held\, together with the number of delegates to be elected from each precinct. If you wish to participate in the organization of your party for the coming 2 years\, attend your precinct meeting. ​\n​\nThe precinct meetings are conducted by the Douglas County Republican Central Committee\, not the county or state\, so the location of the meetings may not be where you normally vote\, please check below. This 120 day session was impactful to all Nevadans. \nBills were proposed or passed on gun control\, national popular vote\, water rights\, same day voter registrations\, abortion and much more. Senator Settelmeyer and Assemblyman Wheeler will explain what happened and what we can expect as a result. They will also take questions from those in attendance. \nJosh Skaggs\, Legislative Affairs Director for the Nevada Republican Party\, author of ‘The Carson City Update’ blog will share his thoughts of this legislative session from a Republican point of view \nAlso\,we invited the Douglas County Commissioners Wes Rice and Dave Nelson and Sheriff Dan Coverley. They will take questions concerning issues affecting Douglas County and the Sheriff’s Office.
