Catherine Cortez Masto Wants You To Think She’s Qualified
So far Catherine Cortez Masto has gone to incredible lengths to fabricate an identity that will convince Nevadans that she’s qualified to be their next Senator. From taking six-digit taxpayer-funded juice jobs to lying about her family history, the lengths she has gone to deceive voters has been been nothing short of disturbing.
But this isn’t the first time Cortez Masto has stretched the truth to move her career forward. In a 2014 KNPR interview, after accepting a $215,000 salary juice job as Nevada Higher Education Executive Vice Chancellor, Catherine Cortez Masto was asked about her complete lack of any experience in higher education administration. She responded:
“I think if you’ve gone through higher education, you’ve got an understanding of that.”
By this logic, any one of the nearly 50 percent of Nevadans possessing some form of higher education fit the same qualifications as her. Lacking any background as an administrator in higher education, Cortez Masto tried to play off what little experience she had, attempting to convince the public that she was qualified when she clearly was not.
Now she is trying to do the same thing, exaggerating or inventing accomplishments while covering up her many faults. Despite spending 21 years as a career politician, Catherine Cortez Masto is forced to fabricate the record of success that she so woefully lacks. While she may portray herself as qualified to represent Nevada in the United States Senate, the reality is that she is just an empty suit being pushed on voters by Harry Reid’s political machine.
Today, the Nevada Republican Party is bringing attention to this taxpayer-funded political juice job that Cortez Masto clearly lacked the qualification for by tweeting out other jobs that Cortez Masto could be “qualified” for.
