Boots and Rhinestones Ball:
A limited number of tickets are available for the Boots and Rhinestones Ball. You may purchase tickets at the online EventBrite site, or at delegate check-in on Friday afternoon from Noon until 4:00 pm. For those running for National Delegate, the Ball is an excellent opportunity to network with several hundred of your fellow delegates.
No host cocktails will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday evening, and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.
You may also sign up at registration for limited seats remaining for the Saturday and/or Sunday Continental breakfast.
Display of Signs, Literature, Campaign Materials, etc.:
If a delegate is planning to produce any campaign or other literature for distribution to delegates, it is the responsibility of that delegate to produce and distribute it, and to clean up any literature remaining at the end of the general session on Saturday. For planning purposes, we currently expect about 1,500 total delegates.
Per convention center rules, no adhesive-backed decals are permitted to be distributed or used inside or outside the Facility. Failure to comply with this policy may result in additional charges being assessed to the Nevada GOP to remove these items, and the Nevada GOP will seek reimbursement of these charges from any delegate who violates the facility’s rules.
At no time will any item be attached to walls, fabric surfaces, ceiling grid, ceiling tile or a false ceiling of the Facility.
At no time will any item be attached to exterior walls, surfaces, permanent facility signage, landscaping or fencing. Exterior signage is not permitted on the city streets or right-of-way. At no time will any convention attendee be allowed on the roof of the RSCC.
Any signage placed in violation of these rules, which are the rules of the venue, is subject to removal and disposal by either the Nevada GOP or convention center staff. Delegates who damage or deface any part or surface of the venue will be held individually responsible for costs of repair.
General Facility Rules:
No smoking is allowed at any time in the Reno/Sparks Convention Center
The Reno/Sparks Convention Center charges a daily parking fee. These funds are retained entirely by the venue. The Nevada GOP does not receive any revenue from parking fees, and does not have the ability to waive these fees or validate parking.
In accordance with provisions of the Nevada Revised Statutes and Washoe County Codes, it is the policy of the Convention Center that handguns and other weapons are strictly prohibited in the Venue. Individuals who fail to comply with this prohibition, or otherwise violate penal laws with respect to carrying a handgun or other weapon, are subject to immediate arrest and prosecution under NRS Chapter 202.3673. This is a policy of the Convention Center over which the Nevada GOP has no control.
This prohibition applies to all persons including concealed handgun Licensees, but does not apply to licensed law enforcement officers.
No animals are allowed on the Convention Center premises, with the exception of service animals. Please check in with the Solutions Desk to notify us if you are bringing a service animal to the convention.
National Delegation Meeting:
If you have nominated yourself for National Delegate, please plan to remain after the convention adjourns Sine Die on Sunday afternoon. There will be an organizational meeting of the National Delegation 30 minutes following Sine Die which should be expected to last for 1-2 hours.
